It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Ray Slaughter of Sweet Home, Oregon, born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Harley and Winnie Mae Slaughter (Hadlock); his wife Irene; and his siblings, David, Ralph, Elizabeth, Tressie, Naomi, Lois and Helen.

He is survived by: his children, Kinnon (Karen) and Linda Pitts of Sweet Home; his grandson Jason (Jehnna Pitts); his great grandchildren, Maddy of Gaston, Frannie of Gaston and Reagon Pitts of Gaston; and his sister Francis Ottum of California.
