He was predeceased by : his former life partner Rebecca Ashby Opdahl; his daughter-in-law Jill Marie Anderton Opdahl; and his grandsons-in-law, Gregory John and Christopher Ryan (Rachel Ann Nixon). He is survived by : his wife Gretchen Gambee Opdahl; and his sons, Patrick Gerald (Marianne Bullock Opdahl), Thomas James (Kristin Monique Tea) and Jordan Michael.
