She was predeceased by : her parents, James Bertis and Mary Elizabeth Widener of Cleveland, Oklahoma; her sisters, Geneva Maxine Whiles of Fairfax, OK and Georgia Opal Dunn of Sand Springs, OK; and her son William Jay "Bill" Bowman of Canby, Oregon..

She is survived by : her husband James Bowman of Hubbard, OR; her sons, Larry, Jeff, Bruce and Carl; and her sister Willie Mae Brown of Jenks, OK.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
