We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2023, at the age of 89, Gary Phillips Smith of Yamhill, Oregon, born in Portland, Oregon passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Edgar Lane and Tressa Mary Phillips Smith; his former life partner Peggy Gust; his children, Craig (Linda) of Wenatchee, WA and Vicki of Renton, WA; his stepsons, Gerald Fisher (Leslie) of Silverton and Sterling Threet (Melanie) of Mesa, AZ; his niece Carrie Weihs (Norm) of British Columbia; his nephew Todd Jacobs of British Columbia; and his stepson David Gordon Fisher of Newcastle, WA. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren, and 11 step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Dorymen's Association scholarship fund, Pacific City, OR or to St. Barnabas Soup Kitchen, McMinnville, OR.
