Dorothy E. Hoffheins Obituary
The passing of Dorothy E. Hoffheins of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania occurred on October 20, 2026. Dorothy, born on April 15, 1935, is remembered by those who knew her. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald L. Hoffheins; her parents, Melvin C. Gruver and Catherine E. Gruver (Brillhart); her son-in-law Robert William Emig; and her siblings, Ethel Mummert, Lester Gruver, Annie Meyer, Charles Gruver, Helen Schroll, Daniel Gruver and Carl Gruver.
She is survived by: her children, Debora Emig, Brenda Hoffheins, Glenda Hoffheins and Gregory Hoffheins (Debra); her grandchildren, Crystal, Christie, Ethan, Nathan and Peter; her great grandchildren, Owen, Evan, Waylon and Lyndy; and her brothers, Elmer Gruver, Ralph Gruver, Kenneth Gruver and Ronald Gruver. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (100 Water St, Abbottstown, PA 17301).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Endowment Fund of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 E. Water St., Abbottstown, PA 17301.
