He is survived by: his children, Gerald Schmer, Jr. (Belinda), Lisa Bollinger (Brian), Amanda Schmer and Tylor Schmer; his sisters, Sharon Atchley, Joan Gieseke and Bernadine Schmer; his grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Derek Smith, SheaLee Freeland-Schmer and Sloan Freeland-Smith; and his great grandchildren, Mary Jane Smith and Zen Smith.
