He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Royal and Virginia Royal (Bartlett); his former wife Kathy Royal; his daughter Kimberly Ochs; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Williams and Harry Weisberg.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Royal of Adamsville; his son Kevin Royal (Rebecca) of Linesville; his son-in-law Stephen Ochs of Middlefield, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Carlson (Michael), Andrew Royal (Madison Kreider) and Hadley Ochs; his sister Jocelyn Beatty (Ken) of West Middlesex; his siblings-in-law, Darlene Weisberg of Salisbury, Rich Williams (Joan) of Fredonia and Gary Williams (Carol) of Jamestown; his stepchildren, Ethan Groce (Beth), Jared Groce (Jenn) and Amelia Light (Brandon Urquhart); and his stepgrandchildren, Julia Johnson, Andrew, Kassidy and Kaiya Groce. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
