He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Smith and Lola Smith (Pomraning); and his siblings, J. Willis Smith, Eunice Chamberlain (Smith), William Smith and Joyce Shildt (Smith).
He is survived by: his wife Marion Smith (Parks); his children, Terry Smith (Karene), Tamre Hurt (Joe) and Rebecca Schwartz (Mike); and his grandchildren, Rachel McKinstry, Mariah Smith, Kasey Smith, Hayley Hurt, Alex Hurt, Brittany Schwartz, Michael Schwartz Jr., Grant Schwartz and Hayden Schwartz. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
