He was predeceased by: his former wife Susan McElwain. He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Lisa Adams (Scott), Beky Weidner (Larry Penner), Tim Weidner (Elaine Esch) and Elizabeth Weidner (Alejandro Sanchez); his stepdaughters, Sharon Landis (Jeff) and Suzanne Marie Fransen Hitt (Steve); his siblings, Marilynn Strayer, Lois Marshall and Joel Weidner; and his grandchildren, Grace, Erin, Hannah, Kate, Zach, Julia, Sydney, Alison, Lindsay, Emma and Camila.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Akron Mennonite Church (1311 Diamond St, Akron, PA 17501). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
