He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Sargent Sr. and Leona Hooftallen (Hershelman); his wife Yvonne Sargent (Mauk); his stepparents, Roland "RJ" Hooftallen and Lois Sargent; his granddaughter Rebecca Doughty (Sargent); and his nephew Bobby George.
He is survived by: his children, Charles D. Sargent (Somkit) of Albion, Roger Sargent (Sue) of Albion and Diane Watt (Ron) of Wisconsin; and his sister Nancy DeArment of Fairview. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
