He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Paul Ritchey and Phyllis Mae Morningstar; and his brother Steven Ritchey. He is survived by: his son Daniel Edward Ritchey Jr. (Cindy) of Colonia; his grandchildren, Alexsandra Ritchey and Daniel Edward Ritchey III; and his sister Vivian Ritchey (Jim Tucker) of Alexandria.
