He was predeceased by : his parents, David Kern and Helen Kern (Marsh); his wife Mildred Kern (Kleintop); his son Kenneth; and his brothers, Ernest, John and David Kern.
He is survived by : his children, Carolann Slack (John) of Phillipsburg, NJ and James Kern (Linda) of Bushkill Township; his grandchildren, Alison Mutchler (Matthew), Stacy Hageman (Timothy), Krista Woods (Christopher) and John Slack (Marie Morrison); his great grandchildren, Connor, Nathan, Logan, Nicholas, Samantha, Tori, Quintin and Abigail; and his great great grandchild Paisley.
