He is survived by : his children, Charlene Johnson (Otis), Ramona Hines, Sharon Hines, Charles Hines Jr., Jovonna Collins, Sonya Gonzalez and Yolanda Hines; his grandchildren, Marcella Walker-Bynum and Sherita Harris; his sisters, Janet Johnson and Maxine Cofield; and his close friend Tim Green. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
