He is survived by: his children, Derrick Andrea', Daretta Andrett, Donna Preston (Jeffrey) and Craig Ulmer (Kelley); his grandchildren, Jamica Jacobs, Jamaal Ulmer, Sydonia Ulmer, Aeryk Ulmer, Andrett Gray (Dia), DeDra Toran, Jamar Preston, Derrian Ulmer, Hannah Ulmer and Harrison Ulmer; his great grandchildren, Aviation Structural Mechanic (Safety Equipment) 2nd Class Jmilriyon Jacobs (Nakyla), Information Systems Technician 2nd Class AmilRiyana Jacobs, Akiyah Jacobs and Ziy'ava Davis; his great great grandchild Saint Hatcher; his siblings, Lee Ulmer (Earnestine) of Erie, Bill Ulmer (Barbara) of Orangeburg, SC., Josephine Newell, Claudia Ulmer McRae (late Louis McRae) and Mary M. "Lola" Ulmer of Houston, Texas.; and also Khelio Atchison. He is also survived by many other relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
One of his most recent was the Chapel of Four Chaplains Foundation, Legion of Honor Award.
