He was predeceased by : his parents, Juanita Townsend Taft and Craydeen Townsend Sr.; his stepfather Leander Taft; and his sisters, Elizabeth Townsend and Thelma Townsend Bridges.
He is survived by : his wife Janice Townsend; his children, Craydeen Townsend III (Kim Boylton) of Minneapolis, MN, Adrian Williams (IIyasah Nikkai) of Florida and Candince Blackwell Johnson (Wesley) of Pittsburgh, PA.; his brothers, Deforester Townsend (Glori) of Ambridge, PA, Terry Townsend (Cecilia) of Pittsburgh, PA and Richard Townsend of Aliquippa, PA.; his grandchildren, Deonna Williams (Trent), Adrianna Cephas Jr. (Thomas), Eric Williams and Devin Blackwell; his great grandchildren, Deon Williams, Adrien Williams, Alexander Mitchell, Aric Williams, Nina Mitchell, Aubree Brown, Gracee Brown, Trenton Brown Jr., Molly Cephas, Tianna Cephas, Thomas Cephas III and Kristina Cephas; and his close friend Von Kittrell of Killen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
