He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Shemer and Emilie Shemer (Zahoul); and his brother Adonis. He is survived by: his son Emil, Jr. (Donna); his grandsons, Brendan and Justin Shemer; his brother Bob (Sue); his sister-in-law Dolores Shemer; and his close friend Esther Barbuto. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews.
