He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry D. Basinger and Betty L. Basinger (Matthews); and his siblings, David Basinger, Terry Forrester and Becky Demnyan.
He is survived by: his sisters, Patty Forrester and Mary Neugebauer (Jim); his daughter Bethann Matthews; his stepsons, Dave Matthews and Wesley Matthews; and his stepgrandchildren, Icyss, James, Keion and Peyton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
