She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Bahtsavan and Maria Bahtsavan; her husband Nikita "Nick" Proakis; her daughter-in-law Julie Young Proakis; and her sister Olga Cowper.

She is survived by : her sons, John Proakis, Frank Proakis (Tina), Angelo Proakis (Shirley) and Nick Proakis. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
