She was predeceased by : her parents, Gordon Flanagan and Lilly Davis Flanagan; her husband Thomas W. Bates; and her siblings, Ruth Ledrick and Doc Flanagan.

She is survived by : her daughter Donna M. Diegmiller of Ohio; her sister Carol; her brother-in-law David Cihon of Philadelphia Ohio; and her brothers, Gordon (Dena Flanagan) and Robert (Connie Flanagan). She is also survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-law.
