Penelope Mehos Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Penelope Mehos (Aliquippa, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 2, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Angelina Mehos and Louis Mehos; her sister Ethel Spanos; and her stepbrothers, Samuel Mehos, Thomas Mehos and Gus Mehos.

She is survived by: her sisters, Anna Pleotis of Palatine, IL and Antoinette Dimitrakopoulos of Athens Greece; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Sophia Apostolopoulos (Steve) of Bloomingdale, IL, Samuel W. Spanos (Judith) of Sewickley, Louis Mehos (Sue) of Wyomissing Hills, PA, Mary Mitu (Ciprian) of Itasca, IL, Dean Apostolopoulos (Sally) of Wheaton, IL, William Apostolopoulos (Laura) of Wheaton, IL, Angelo Pleotis of Chrystal Lake, IL and Elia Pleotis of Palatine, IL.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
