He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Gency and Mary Sloboda Gency; his daughter Mary Irene Gency; his grandchildren, Rachel Behers, Sheri McCauley and Michael Justin Luzzi; and his brother Gordon Gency.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Cratty Gency; his children, Pamela Gency of Fallowfield Twp, Stephen Gency of Carroll Twp, Keith Whitlatch (Beverly) of Scottdale, Linda Zuccarini of Belle Vernon, Deborah Forsythe (John) of Belle Vernon and Bruce Whitlatch of Deemston Boro; his nephew Gordon Gency; and his sister-in-law Nancy Gency (Ryan Redman).
