She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin Bopp and Nancy Rebecca Bopp (Shaner); her husband Oral Kenneth Shaffer; and her siblings, John Bopp, Nancy Lingenfelter and Mildred Smail.
She is survived by: her children, Carl J. Shaffer of Allegheny Township, Doris Hughan (Paul) of Allegheny Township and Janet Nichols of Natrona Heights. She is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
