Kevin McDermott Obituary

We announce the death of Kevin McDermott of Allegheny, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 71. Kevin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul H. Sr. McDermott and Helen C. McDermott; his siblings, Paul H. McDermott Jr., Patricia Gavlik, Margaret Lamperski, Michael McDermott, John McDermott, Eileen Feerst, Theresa Deak, Robert McDermott and James McDermott; his godson Daniel Gavlik; and his daughter Claire McDermott.

He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Alan McDermott (Sarah) of Allegheny Township and Luke Daniel McDermott (Shannon) of Leechburg; his grandchildren, Emma, Sophia, Judah and Ezra; his siblings, Daniel McDermott (Kathryn) and Helen Taylor (late David); and his godchildren, Michelle Deak and Doug Lamperski. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a charity that Kevin donated to every month.
