She is survived by: her children, Pablo Melendez (Pepe), Carmen (Gustavo Espinoza), Wanda (Will Schmidt), Elba (Ferdinand Oquendo) and Mirna (John Ortiz); and her grandchildren, Mida Melendez, Hector Melendez, Ferdinand Oquendo (Coquito), Crystal Oquendo, Emanuel Cardinalez, John Ortiz Jr. (J. J.), Justin Ortiz and Amanda Ortiz. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
