He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Kuchnicki and Cornelia Kuchnicki; his wife Dolores "Dee" Kuchnicki; and his siblings, Stanley and Thomas Kuchnicki.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Pistorius (Douglas, Sr.) and Paul Kuchnicki (late Karen); his grandchildren, Holly, Heather Pistorius, Paul Kuchnicki, II (Tracy), David Topka and Joseph Topka (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Violet Pistorius, Carter Topka, Chloe Topka and Jemma Topka; and his siblings, Telesfor "Ted" Kuchnicki (late Edith), Leonard Kuchnicki (late Joan) and Mary LeDonne (late Jeremiah). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
