He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Clark and Jennie Clark (Potis). He is survived by: his wife Susan (Nieuwkerk); his children, Melissa G. Sterner, Angie Sterner-Vasquez, Kimberly Rosado-Beers (Kyle), Joey Clark (Alissa) and Bianca Clark (Dan); his grandchildren, James Cleary Jr., Sonny Rosado, Lola Clark, Max Clark and Rex Clark; and his sister Marie Holleran. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
