He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan J. Araya and Ines A. Araya (Fajardo Rodriguez); and his sister Maria Araya. He is survived by: his wife Rita (Cisneros Rodriguez); his children, Erick C. Araya (Ruth A. Carrillo), Maria E. Araya and Rubi A. Araya; and his siblings, Edward Araya, Andres Araya, Asuncion Araya and Adela Araya. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
