He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Keys; and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Keys; his siblings, Christopher Keys (Melany) and Deborah Anderson (Kenneth); his nephews, Joshua, Gregory and Nicholas; and his niece Kaelyn.
