Whitaker Griffin Jr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2025, Whitaker Griffin Jr. of Allentown, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitaker Griffin, Sr. and Louise Eubanks Griffin; his sister Catherine Waller; and his foster father Michael Homick, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou (Giggey); his daughter Onica Phillips of Allentown; his grandchildren, Kimora and Joshua James; his siblings, Mary Ann Wolfe (Herb) of Rochester, NY, Jennifer Nesmith (George) of Philadelphia, Andrea Johnson of Maryland, Denise Birckhead of Pottstown, Sharon Allen (Eric) of Portland, OR, Debbie Conroy (Tom) of Midlothian, VA, Cindy Homick Cicero of Bethlehem, Kim Popoff (Michael) of Northampton and Michael Homick, Jr. of Bethlehem; his foster mother Barbara Homick of Bethlehem; his aunt Kathy Kelly of Reading; his sister-in-law Hope French (Roy) of South China; and his close friend Mookie Stanton of Bethlehem. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, grand nieces and nephews and so many other special children.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Inc. (1601 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18102). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home (1601 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18102).
