He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Giering Sr. and Hellen Giering (Mullen); and his siblings, Howard Jr., Thomas, Dorothy, Robert, Evelyn, Betty, Barbara, Richard and Peggy.
He is survived by: his wife Frances; his stepchildren, Brenda Bognar (Michael) of Palmerton, June Lightcap of Allentown and Joseph Lightcap (Susan) of Allentown; and his siblings, David, Sandra Martinez (Julio) of Bethlem, Linda Cruz of Allentown and Pearl Warmbal of Bath. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Donations may be made in his honor to VA Chapter 7 or Disabled American Veterans.
