He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Roy and Emilie DeWall Roy. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hawthorne Roy; his children, Laura Roy of Cranberry Twp and K. Scott Roy (Penny) of Mars; and his grandchildren, Taylor McClain (Emily), Connor McClain (Melissa) and Hadleigh Roy.
