It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Johnson of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Johnson Jr. and Elsie Johnson (Carland); his great grandchild Koen; and his siblings, Joseph, Ernest "Butch" and Dorotha.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his daughter Michele A. Johnson; his grandchildren, Kristin, Jocelyn, Ashley, Victoria, Jon Jr., Kelly, Jennifer, Rebecca, Alyssa, Hilda, Kaylee, Richard Jr. and Malakye; his great grandchildren, Kaidence, Adelynn, Priscilla, Winnie, Jon III, Camayla, Charlie, Mason, Harmony, Matthias, Nicholas, Nyles and Noah; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" (Eunice), Ralph Johnson (Joyce) and Toni Lang (Debbie Coyler). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel (1534 4th St, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
