It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris E. Griswold of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorsey Winters and Rebecca Winters (Figart); her husband Charles E. Griswold; and her grandson Michael Ryan Griswold. She is survived by: her children, Chuck Griswold (Debbie), Wendy S. Griswold and Marcia L. Selby (Rick); and her grandchildren, Courtney Matthews, Chad Griswold, Marcy Phillips, Tim Selby, Jamie Mauk, Eric Griswold and John Dellape. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Tipton Baptist Church (708 Deborah St, Tyrone, PA 16684). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris's name to Samaritan's Purse-Operation Christmas Child (OCC), PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607 or pack an OCC shoebox in her honor.
