It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Young of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances Young to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" Gillmen and Alma Haigh (Isenberg); her siblings, Jack Gillmen and Nancy Wininger (Ron); and her great grandchild Christopher Young.
She is survived by: her children, Donald "Eugene" Young, David Young (Sherry), Audrey Pellegrino of Altoona and Jody Young (Barb) of Glasgow; her grandchildren, Ryan Young (Janet), Tony Young (Melissa), David Young (Alexis), Nicholas Young (Destiny), Steven Young, Johnny Pellegrino (Tara), Jason Pellegrino, Jennifer Polanowski (Ray) and Joshua Young; and her great grandchildren, Paula, Savannah, Nathan, Bridgette, Davina, Kailee, Alexis, Nolan, Reese, Naomi, Isaac, Sadie, Stella Young, Riley, Trenton and Austyn Pellegrino. She is also survived by six great great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc. (501 N 6th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
