With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John J. Eckenrode of Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Calvin and Verna Marie Eckenrode (Meloy); his siblings, Rose Marie Roub (Joe), Patricia Rhinehart and Raymond Eckenrode; and his stepdaughter Wendy Hornberger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Eckenrode and Nikole Lucas; his grandsons, Kalob Lucas and Parker Lucas; his former wife Sharon Eckenrode; his stepsons, Jeff Hornberger (Rose), Tim Hornberger (Dawn) and Mike Hornberger; his sisters, Elizabeth MacFarlane and Mary Robb (Bill); his nieces, Jeannette Shannon and Rose Mary Roub; and his pet Murphy.
