She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Mary E. Dobson (Lauer); her son James D. Horton, Jr.; her granddaughter Brittany Horton; and her siblings, Edna Mae Buckreis, Lois B. Bryson, Bernice A. Horton and Edward Dobson.

She is survived by: her husband James D. Horton; her children, Donna L. Weaver (Jerry), Christopher E. Horton (Tricia) and Stephen M. Horton (Sharon) of Altoona; her grandchildren, Carrie Burk Vanover (Taylor), Justin Horton, Mandy Horton (Brian Robinson), Stephanie Johnson (Brad), Trenton Hardie and Bella Hardie; and her brother Thomas Wayne Dobson (Janet) of Tampa, FL.. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
