Louise M. Gioiosa Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise M. Gioiosa of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig Maierhofer and Magdalina Maierhofer (Heiss); and her siblings, Joseph Maierhofer and Teresa Lang. She is survived by: her children, Victor A. Gioiosa, Jr. (Sherry) of Altoona and Tina Johnston (Ron) of Altoona; her grandchildren, Neil Gioiosa (Niki), Abby Crider (Ryan) and Ross Gioiosa (Pam); her great grandchildren, Gracie, Jack, Luke, Finley, Emerson, Sylvie, Willa, Lily and Penelope; her brother Lou Maierhofer of Hollidaysburg; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Hale of Altoona and Maria Menta of State College. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevens Mortuary, Inc. (1421 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1405 5th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602).
