He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin W. Hatch and Patricia Hatch (Smith); his grandson Asher Epple; and his siblings, Stephen, David, Keith Hatch and Lacey Kraft.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Cherry; his children, Nicol Hatch-Joy, Angela Hatch, Lauren Hatch-Pokhrel (Dipesh) and Michael Billotte; his grandchildren, Caleb Epple (Sarah), Hannah Epple, Sarah Epple, Surya Pokhrel and Jivan Pokhrel; his great grandchildren, Aleia Eckenrode, Maci, Ryan Lewis, Asher, Auctavia, Aria and Ivonna Epple; his siblings, Richard Hatch, Annette Keltz (Randy) and Marcia Hatch; and his brother-in-law John Kraft. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Stevens Mortuary, Inc. (1421 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Stevens Memorial Chapel (1421 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602).
