It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita De Carlo McCloskey of Altoona, Pennsylvania, born in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dewey Carlo and Josephine De Carlo; and her sisters, Angeline De Carlo, Delores Girard and Clemetine Suders.

She is survived by : her husband Regis McCloskey; her children, Joan Banks, Regis Jr. (Christine) of Altoona, David (Gloria) of Altoona, Sam (Wendy) of Altoona and Steve (Nicole) of Altoona; and her siblings, David De Carlo (Janet) of New York, Matilda Capouellez of Altoona and Anna Marie La Judive of Ohio. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Santella Funeral Home (1106 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament (1 Cathedral Square, Altoona, PA 16601). A committal service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery.
