He was predeceased by: his father William B. Cooney; his wife Theresa M. Frederick; and his brothers, David and Bill. He is survived by: his mother Shirley M. Cooney (Leighty) of Altoona; and his sister Lynn Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. (422 N Juniata St, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
