He was predeceased by : his parents, LeRoy Carter and Martha Carter (Kreps). He is survived by : his wife Carol L. Beckel; his children, Jennifer Galanick (Joseph) of Sterling, VA, Thad Carter (Yvonne) of Altoona and Melissa Berard of Pittsburgh; his granddaughters, Courtney Carter and Kirsten Carter; his sister Carole Taylor (Robert) of Juniata; and his nephews, Bob Taylor (Amigh) of Altoona and Mark Taylor (Meredith).
