He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph William Ervin and Marion Lachot Ervin; and his wife Elisabeth T. Ervin. He is survived by: his children, Elisabeth Ervin-Blankenheim (Richard), Anne Overton (William) and Robert L. Ervin, Jr. (Linda); his grandchildren, Catherine Londry (Jared), Robert L. Ervin III (Caroline) and Graham Ervin; and his great grandchildren, Adeline, Alexandra and Theodore Londry.
