He is survived by: his parents, Edward Buonocore and Bonnita Buonocore (Kubiak); his pets, Finn, Scout and Maxie; his brothers, Anthony (Julianne), Michael (Thuy) and Alexander Buonocore; his nieces, Adabelle and Penelope Buonocore; and his cousins, Carissa, Alicia and Caia Ferriso.
Most notably, during the pandemic, he turned an empty bookshelf into a makeshift library in his math classroom, securing hundreds of book donations with his late wife and sister-in-law and inspiring students to return to the classroom by loaning them.
