It is with sadness that the passing of Charlene Geffel of Ambridge, Pennsylvania is shared. Charlene, born on November 7, 1936, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Kepics and Therese Kepics (Bonavita); her husband Jerome "Jerry" Geffel; her sister Joanne LaGatta; her brothers-in-law, Flip LaGatta and Jack Geffel; and her nephew Tom LaGatta.
She is survived by: her daughters, Therese Ann "Terry" Mylan (Al), Laura Nichi (Dave) and Dr. Megan Geffel (Mealie); her grandchildren, Christopher Mylan (Paula), Elyse Perciavalle (Greg), Zach Nichi (Allie), Kody Nichi (Allie), Taylor Mealie and Lauren "Peedy" Mealie; her great grandchildren, Owen, Jake Nichi and Casey Perciavalle; her niece Betsy LaGatta McDade; Everett "Ev" Long.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bohn-Matich Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. (1099 Maplewood Ave, Ambridge, PA 15003). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Samaritan Church (725 Glenwood Ave, Ambridge, PA 15003).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Laughlin Memorial Library in Ambridge to support the refurbishment of the children's library—a fitting tribute to Charlene's lifelong love of children, education, and reading.
