He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his pet Joy; his stepchildren, Justin Steele (Troy), Amanda Benes (Michael) and Abbey Fabian (Raymond); his brother John Dauer (Florence); his grandchildren, Isabella, Ethan, Scotland-May, Natalia, Sidney, Jacob and Matteo; his goddaughter Denise Holt; his sisters-in-law, Laura Vassallo and Barbara Hosack; his nephews, Matthew Dauer (Kimberly) and John Dauer (Ashley); and his great-nieces, Olivia and Carter.
