He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Mrkonja and Margaret Mrkonja of Aliquippa; his wife Josephine Aspiotes; and his siblings, Eva Silvestri (Leo), Marie Battalini (Frank), Ann Marcello (Athony), Lilly Taormina (Joseph), Milan Mrkonja (Stella), Nicholas Mrkonja (Mary Ann), Joann Mrkonja, Joseph Mrkonja (Elizabeth), George Mrkonja, Rudolph Mrkonja and Rosemary Mrkonja.
He is survived by: his children, Lil-Lee "Angel" Ross (Shawn) and Christina Sheleheda (Nicholas); his grandsons, Nico Sheleheda and John Ross; and his brother Louis Mrkonja. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. (833 Kennedy Dr, Ambridge, PA 15003). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (2930 Beaver Rd, Ambridge, PA 15003).
