He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Porter and Joan Ekas; his wife Karen Porter; and his daughter Rochelle Porter. He is survived by: his son John "J. J." Porter (Gabriella Muoio); his uncle Ed; his aunt Marie Kohar of Baden; his stepson Brian Hans (Kathy) of Georgetown; his friends, Tony Blum, Carolyn Dunne, Valerie Tilson and Michelle Pietrzak; and his pets, Troy, Crosby, Batman, Junior and Betty Joe. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
