He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Shearer and Mildred Miller Shearer. He is survived by: his wife Agnes R. Shearer; his daughter Tiffany Shearer of Davenport, Florida; and his siblings, Woodrow Shearer Jr. of Jonestown, John "Bill" Shearer of Sheldon, Wisconsin and Suzy Trievel (Ron) of New Bern.
