With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol J. (Poydence) Hollenbaugh (Apollo, Pennsylvania), born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Poydence and Julia Poydence (Jakubek); and her siblings, Michael, Thomas Poydence, Linda Poydence and Kathleen Briggs (Poydence).
She is survived by: her husband John Hollenbaugh; her sons, Brian Hollenbaugh of Apollo, John F. Hollenbaugh of Roswell, GA and Eric Hollenbaugh (Amber) of Marietta, GA; her grandchildren, Zachary, Sienna, John T., Atticus, Abigail, Stella and Scarlett; her stepgrandsons, Brandon of Georgia and Nicolas of Georgia; and her siblings, Ernest "E. J." Poydence (Joy) of Latrobe, Stephen Poydence, Sandra Poydence of Falls Church, VA and Deborah Greenawalt (Mark) of Apollo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. - Apollo (100 Owens View Ave, Apollo, PA 15613). A prayer will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (411 McKinley Ave, East Vandergrift, PA 15629).
