He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison R., Sr. and Velma Olive Elizabeth Geer (Kepple); and his siblings, Velma Riederer, Valjean Warham, Elaine Johnson, Linda Beighley and Mervin Dean Geer.
He is survived by: his wife Janet M. Geer (Heckman); his sons, Marvin R. Geer (Cynthia Ann) of East Vandergrift and Daniel P. Geer (Gloria Walker); his granddaughters, Stephanie N. Altman (Matthew) of Leechburg and Danielle P. Geer of Vandergrift; his great grandchildren, Mila G. Altman and Marleigh J. Altman; and his brothers, Clarence Geer (Shirley), Leland Geer of Kiski Township and William Geer (Susan) of Cody, Wyoming. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Apollo-Spring Church (1921 PA-56, Spring Church, PA 15686). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edison's name to the Apollo-Spring Church Sportsmen's Club, P.O. Box #81, Apollo, PA 15613.
